Notice of Public Hearing
The Washington materials management and financing
authority will be holding a public hearing to accept comment
on its general operating plan Friday, October 3 between 1 and
3:30 p.m. The hearing will be held in the Saratoga Room,
Embassy Suites, 15920 West Valley Highway, Seattle, WA. The
authority is the agency approved by the state to implement the
provisions of the standard and operating plans as described in
RCW 70.95N.320 and chapter 173-900 WAC for the collection,
transportation, and recycling of specified unwanted electronic
devices. This hearing is the only hearing the authority plans
to hold to accept comments. To view the general operating

the general operating plan link. The authority will accept
comments via e-mail, United States mail, phone, fax, and
verbally at the hearing. All comments postmarked, e-mail or
fax dated between this publication date and October 10 will be
responded to. Phone calls must be received by 3 p.m. October
10. Comments will be addressed in writing and will be
available to the commenters and to the general public via our
web site by October 20. The general operating plan contains
information pertaining to the authority's activities to date,
financial reserve requirements, and standards for contracting
