     In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department of social and health services.

     Document Title: # Memo 09-56.

     Subject: Tribal health program: Increase in IHS/OMB encounter rate and changes to the state match for nonnative chemical dependency services.

     Effective Date: August 1, 2009.

     Document Description: This memo informs Indian health services (IHS) and tribal 638 health clinic providers of:

• An increase in the IHS/OMB encounter rate retroactive to dates of service on and after January 1, 2009; and
• Changes to the federal medical assistance percentages (FMAP) rate effective August 1, 2009.
