Lowering of the Washington State and United States Flags


     I hereby direct that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Monday, March 22, 2010, in memory of U.S. Army Private First Class Erin L. McLyman, who died March 13, 2010, of injuries she suffered during a mortar attack in Iraq.

     Please notify your staff and all of your field offices and facilities around the state.

     Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business on Monday, March 22, or first thing Tuesday morning, March 23.

     Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
