Notice of Interpretive or Policy Statement


     In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department of social and health services.

     Document Title: # Memo 10-84.

     Subject: Outpatient hospital services.

     Effective Date: January 1, 2011.

     Document Description:


• Incorporate the year 2011 current procedural terminology (CPT¦) and healthcare common procedural coding system updates into the outpatient hospital and outpatient prospective payment system fee schedules;
• Implement coverage and authorization policy changes;
• Update the department approved centers of excellence with additional information regarding hysterscopic [hysteroscopic] sterilization;
• Implement the revised outpatient prospective payment system budget target adjuster.
