Updates, and Policy Changes.
Effective Date: October 1, 2011.
Description: Retroactive to dates of service on and after October 1, 2011, the medicaid program of the health care authority (the agency) has:
• Made coverage changes in the Physician-Related
Services/Healthcare Professional Services Billing
Instructions; and
• Updated the Physician-Related Services Fee Schedule.
Later this year, the agency will implement an on-line
authorization process for selected surgeries.
