At present, the public disclosure commission has three rules under development and plans to review and update two chapters of the Washington Administrative Code. The commission anticipates no other rule making during the first half of the year unless required by 2012 legislation.
1. Topic: Public records.
Status: On January 27, 2012, the commission filed the preproposal statement with the code reviser giving notice that it is considering possible changes to chapters 390-13 and 390-14 WAC to recognize and adopt relevant provisions of the state's model public records rules and otherwise update its public records rules.

2. Topic: Contribution limits.
Status: WAC 390-05-400 was amended January 27, 2012, on an emergency basis to insert and adjust contribution limits for mayoral and city council candidates in accordance with adjustments made to other candidate contribution limits made earlier in 2012. The preproposal statement to begin permanent rule making was filed December 16, 2011.

3. Topic: Enforcement procedures.
Status: The commission may review and revise procedures for submitting information prior to enforcement hearings.
