In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the health care authority (HCA).

Document Title: Provider Notice #13-41.
Subject: Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) Medicaid Provider Guide.
Effective for dates of service on and after July 1, 2013, the medicaid program of the HCA will update the EPSDT Medicaid Provider Guide to:

Add information for the use of the TJ modifier on claims to receive an enhanced rate for EPSDT screening examinations of children in out-of-home care.

Add a table of placement codes to determine if claims for EPSDT screening examinations for children in out of home care are eligible to receive the enhanced rate.
