notice of adoption of an interpretive statement
Title of Interpretive Statement: "In good standing" as it relates to the health care assistant to medical assistant credentialing transition.
Issuing Entity: Department of health, division of health systems quality assurance, office of health professions and facilities.
Subject Matter: The legislature did not define "in good standing" when it amended chapter 18.360 RCW through ESHB 1515. For the purpose of transitioning health care assistants to medical assistants, the department is interpreting "in good standing" based, in part, how it is defined in RCW 18.16.060 for other professions such as cosmetologists.
Effective Date: July 1, 2013.
