Document Title: Provider Notice #13-114.

Subject: School-Based Health Care Services Medicaid Provider Guide.

Effective for dates of service on and after January 1, 2014, the medicaid program of the health care authority (HCA) will update the School-Based Health Care Services for Children in Special Education Medicaid Provider Guide to:

1. Include links to wahealthpathfinder. Clarify that school districts' qualified health care providers must be enrolled with the medicaid agency.

2. Clarify that a supervising therapist must see the child face-to-face at the beginning of services and at least once more during the school year.

3. Add details about covered nursing services.

4. Delete CPT code 92506 and replace it with CPT codes 92521, 92522, 92523, and 92524.

5. Deleted the school district requirement related to prior, informal, written notification for parents or guardians.

6. Make minor changes throughout the document.
