Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 14-0029.

Effective Date: August 6, 2014.

Description: The health care authority intends to submit SPA 14-0029 to request a twelve month exception period to the federal requirement for a recovery audit contractor (RAC). This is to allow the agency time for reprocurement of a RAC to replace the contractor that was terminated in June 2014. Because this SPA is requesting an exception, there will be no effect on annual aggregate expenditures.
