Subject of Possible Rule Making: WAC 139-05-300 Requirement for in-service training.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 43.101.080.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: These changes establish clarification to the extension provision and gives the Washington state criminal justice training commission (WSCJTC) auditor the authority to make decisions regarding exceptions under extenuating circumstances when the employing agency has made every reasonable effort to meet compliance, therefore aiding the stakeholder agencies in obtaining compliance with the rule.

Process for Developing New Rule: Negotiated rule making.
