Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 182-548 WAC, Federally-qualified health centers and chapter 182-549 WAC, Rural health clinics.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 41.05.021, 41.05.160, ESSHB [E2SHB] 2572 section 7, line (4), chapter 223, Laws of 2014.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The agency is amending these rules in response to ESSHB [E2SHB] 2572, which directs the agency to increase the use of value-based contracting, alternative quality contracting, and other payment incentives that promote quality, efficiency, cost savings, and health improvement for medicaid purchasing. During the course of this review, the agency may identify additional changes that are required in order to improve clarity or update policy.
