Subject of Possible Rule Making: Establishing logbook requirements for freshwater game fish guides, food fish guides and combination game fish and food fish guides.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 77.12.047, 77.12.045, 77.04.055, 77.04.020, and 77.04.012.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: To collect fishing effort, catch and harvest data from all freshwater fishing guides and their clients to understand the seasonal and geographic utilization of fishery resources by the guide industry statewide.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.
Process for Developing New Rule: Agency study.
