Subject of Possible Rule Making: Implementation of the VoteWA voter registration system.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 29A.04.630.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The office of the secretary of state and local county election officials are in the process of installing a new voter registration system called VoteWA. The system will change elements of the voter registration and election management process. Rules will need to be adjusted or drafted to support the new processes and procedures.
Process for Developing New Rule: Negotiated rule making.
