Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 22-0020 PACE Updates.

Effective Date: July 1, 2022.

Description: The health care authority (HCA) in conjunction with the aging and long-term services administration (ALTSA) in the department of social and health services intend to submit medicaid SPA 22-0020 in order to include that the personal needs allowance (PNA) for all medicaid in-home clients, including PACE enrollees, will increase from 100 percent of the federal poverty level to 300 percent of the federal benefit rate, effective July 1, 2022.

SPA 22-0020 is expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures/reimbursement/payments to providers.

A copy of SPA 22-0020 is available for review. HCA and ALTSA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA.
