Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The health care authority (agency) is adding early periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment services to applicable program rules across the agency. These revisions will align with guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and with recent corresponding amendments to chapter 182-534 WAC under WSR 25-13-048. During the course of this review, the agency may identify additional related changes that are required in order to improve clarity or update policy.
