PREPROPOSAL STATEMENT OF INQUIRY

Subject of Possible Rule Making: The department of social and health services (department) is planning to amend WAC 388-106-0010 What definitions apply to this chapter?, to align with department of health (DOH) statute and recently updated RCW 69.41.010 Medication assistance; and other related rules as may be required.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 69.41.010, 74.08.090, and 74.09.520.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The department is planning to amend WAC 388-106-0010 What definitions apply to this chapter?, to align with DOH statute and recently updated DOH WAC. Process for Developing New Rule: Collaborative. The department welcomes the public to take part in developing the rules. Anyone interested should contact a staff person identified below. At a later date, the department will file a proposal with the office of the code reviser with a notice of proposed rule making. A copy of the proposal will be sent to everyone on the mailing list and to anyone who requests a copy.
