Washington's underground storage tank fees will increase on July 1, 2026, from $243.21 to 273.43 $258.80 per tank.

The UST fee increase previously announced by the department of ecology (ecology) was inaccurately calculated. This announcement corrects the error that was posted in WSR 25-05-045.

As required by law, the fiscal growth factor was used to determine the amount of fee increase. The fiscal growth factor is calculated and adopted by the economic and revenue forecast council using the average growth in state personal income for the previous 10 fiscal years.
