Notice of Interpretive or Policy Statement

Pursuant to RCW 34.05.230, the department of labor and industries' insurance services division issued the following policy statement.

Policy: Insurance Services Policy 91.27.

Title: Audit adjustment tolerance.

Amended: January 1, 2026.

Description: The amendments to this policy regarding field audit include the following:


•	Changing the title to audit adjustment tolerance.
•	Updating the approver to Cindy Gaddis.
•	Adding in the updated premium increase amount.
•	Removing reference to contract release.
•	Using plain language and active voice to describe complex processes.
•	Creating strong and clear policy statements that meet the requirements of the Administrative Procedure Act (chapter 34.05 RCW) and state adopted policy writing guidelines.
