INTERPRETIVE STATEMENT

This memo serves as notice that the department of health (department) is rescinding an interpretive statement titled "Unregulated purchasing water systems billing for water service. Section WAC 246-290-020 (2)(c)" filed March 15, 2000, and published in WSR 00-07-080.

This statement clarified that a company providing drinking water billing services to an apartment complex or a multifamily complex is not considered a purveyor or a public water system. The department is rescinding this interpretive statement because it is outdated and no longer needed.
