Policy: Employment Standards Policy ES.C.7.

Title: Employee Access to Personnel File.

Amended: January 21, 2026.

Effective: January 21, 2026.

Description: This policy was amended to update guidance on the right for employees, former employees, and their representatives to access employees' personnel files under RCW 49.12.240. This update is based on changes that occurred during the 2025 legislative session specifically due to SHB 1308, relating to access to personnel records.

Title: Recordkeeping and Access to Payroll Records (non-agricultural employment).

Amended: September 8, 2025.

Effective: September 8, 2025.

Description: This policy was amended to update guidance on nonagricultural employer recordkeeping responsibilities under the Industrial Welfare Act and the Minimum Wage Act and associated rules. This update is based on changes that occurred during the 2025 legislative session specifically due to SHB 1308, relating to access to personnel records.
