NOTICE
Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 26-0007 April 2026 Fee Schedule Updates.
Effective Date: April 1, 2026.
Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit SPA 26-0007 to update the fee schedule effective dates for several medicaid programs and services. This is a regular, budget-neutral update to keep rates and billing codes in alignment with the coding and coverage changes from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the state, and other sources. This SPA updates only the effective dates of fee schedules that have an effective date described in the medicaid state plan; payment rates for services are not listed in the state plan. The date changes are routine and do not reflect significant changes to policy or payment.
SPA 26-0007 is expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures/payments. These changes are routine and do not reflect significant changes to policy or payment.
HCA is in the process of developing the SPA. HCA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA.
