HB 1600 - DIGEST

      Establishes the counter-cyclical program for dislocated timber workers to provide forest-related employment and job retraining assistance.

      Encourages the provision of employment opportunities for not less than two hundred eligible enrollees.

      Provides for compensation and medical and dental benefits.

      Provides for career counseling for enrollees.

      Makes an appropriation of four million dollars to carry out the purposes of the act.
