(DIGEST OF PROPOSED 1ST SUBSTITUTE)

      Directs the court administrator to designate and clearly mark the restricted areas in a courthouse.

      Provides a class C felony offense for persons knowingly possessing weapons in violation of the act.

      Exempts judges, attorneys, and courthouse employees who have obtained written permission from the court administrator.
