     On page 1, beginning on line 12, after "hour" strike all material through "labor" on page 2, line 5

     On page 2, beginning on line 8, strike all of section 2

EFFECT:  The amendment deletes the increase in the minimum wage from $4.25 to $4.90 per hour on July 1, 1993, and deletes the adjustments to the minimum wage based on the consumer price index.  (The remainder of the bill makes technical changes and retains the minimum wage at $4.25 per hour.)
