     On page 7, beginning on line 31, after "and" strike all material through "amount" on line 32 and insert "all subcontractors who are awarded a contract over two hundred thousand dollars shall provide a performance and payment bond for their contract amount. All other subcontractors shall provide a performance and payment bond"

EFFECT:  This amendment changes the subcontractor bonding requirement in two ways.  All subcontractors with a contract over $200,000 are required to post a performance bond rather than allowing the general contractor/construction manager the discretion to require that a bond be posted.  For subcontractors with contracts under $200,000, a bond may be required, but at the discretion of the general contractor/construction manager.
