     On page 4, line 10, after "religious" strike "tenets or teachings of a church or religious body of which such public employee is a member" and insert "or philosophical beliefs of such public employee"

     On page 8, line 14, after "religious" strike "tenets or teachings of a church or religious body of which such public employee is a member" and insert "or philosophical beliefs of such public employee"

     On page 47, line 25, strike "tenets or teachings of a church or religious body of which the employee is a member" and insert "or philosophical beliefs of the employee"

EFFECT:  Establishes the right of state employees to refrain from union membership based on bona fide religious or philosophical beliefs.
