    On page 1, after line 31 of the amendment, strike all material through "1994." on page 4, line 2, and insert the following:

    "(2) The departments shall report their findings to the executive-legislative committee on economic development policy by September 1, 1995.  The committee shall evaluate the report and make recommendations concerning the programs to the governor and the appropriate committees of the legislature."

EFFECT:  Eliminates requirement for businesses to submit economic impact estimates and statements.  Removes the requirement for the departments to study whether businesses receiving certain assistance comply with other laws and offer certain benefits to employees.
