     On page 2, line 32, beginning with "the three" strike all the matter through "members" on line 35, and insert "three of the members of the county legislative authority or their designees, the county auditor or the auditor's designee, the head of the emergency medical service district, and one emergency worker from the emergency medical service district to be elected by the emergency workers"

EFFECT:  Clarifies terms used to refer to persons serving on the board of trustees to administer the volunteer relief and pension system for the emergency medical service district by: (1) Recognizing that some counties operate under a county charter and do not have a three member board of county commissioners; (2) replacing the county clerk, who is an administrative official associated with the county superior court, with the county auditor and permitting the county auditor to have a designee serve in that position; and (3) using the defined term of "emergency worker" rather than the undefined term "member" to refer to persons who provide the emergency medical services for the emergency medical services district.
