     On page  27, beginning on line 6 of the amendment, strike all of sections 39 and 40.

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:  Strikes the section that repeals the State Building Code Council's authority to employ staff, contract for services, and propose budgets, and strikes the section that directs the department to staff the Council.
