     On page 1, after line 4, insert the following:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  The per capita gross amount of contributions based on deduction formulas contained in this act from offender wages and gratuities to the department to contribute to the costs of incarceration shall not be less than the per capita gross amount of contributions based on deduction formulas previously established under chapter 20, Laws of 1993 1st ex. sess.."

AND

     On page 2, line 4, strike "Thirty)) (iii) Twenty" and insert ")) Thirty"

AND

     On page 2, line 12, strike "Fifteen" and insert "Thirty"

     Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:  Declares that the per capita amount of contributions going toward the costs of inmate incarceration shall not be reduced and specifies that the amount of deduction on inmate wages that goes to the costs of inmate incarceration will remain at the current 30% level.
