Giving local governments the option to acquire services or goods under arrangements by state agencies.

          AN ACT Relating to giving local governments the option to acquire services or goods under purchasing arrangements made by state agencies; and adding a new section to chapter 43.19 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.19 RCW to read as follows:

          The department shall offer local governments the ability to purchase services and goods under any contract the department has entered into relating to the purchase of services or goods.  The department may not sign a contract to acquire services or goods unless the contract permits local governments to purchase services or goods in the same manner, and under the same conditions, as the department acquires the services or goods.
