Setting forth an irrigation district's authority to sell or lease real estate or real property.

          AN ACT Relating to irrigation district property; and adding a new section to chapter 87.03 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 87.03 RCW to read as follows:

          The authority granted by this title to an irrigation district to sell or lease real estate or other property owned by the district includes, but is not by this section limited to, the authority to:  Lease the property from year to year while affording the lessee an option to purchase; sell the property on contract on deferred payments; sell the property for cash and conveyance by deed; and make limited improvements to the property as may be required to bring the property to a presentable state for the purpose of effecting the sale or lease.
