Creating an inventory system for state-owned or leased facilities.

          AN ACT Relating to creating an inventory system for state-owned or leased facilities; adding a new section to chapter 43.09 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 43.17 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.09 RCW to read as follows:

          The department of general administration shall develop and maintain an inventory system for accounting for all owned or leased facilities maintained by state government.  The system shall be developed and the initial inventory shall be completed by September 1, 1993, and shall be updated on June 30th of each year.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  A new section is added to chapter 43.17 RCW to read as follows:

          Each department under this chapter shall provide to the department of general administration a complete inventory of all state-owned or leased property used by the department.  The inventory is due to the department of general administration on June 30th of each year, except for the first inventory report which is due on August 1, 1993.
