Restricting consideration of old traffic tickets.

          AN ACT Relating to the disposition of traffic infractions; and adding a new section to chapter 46.63 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 46.63 RCW to read as follows:

          In a traffic infraction case involving a violation of this title or an equivalent administrative regulation or local law, ordinance, regulation, or resolution, a court may not review and consider the person's driving record beyond the three-year period immediately before the date of infraction when determining whether to waive, reduce, or suspend a monetary penalty or to impose an alternative to a monetary penalty.
