Prohibiting public utilities from discriminating in the content of the material published in their advertising service.

    AN ACT Relating to public utilities; and adding a new section to chapter 80.04 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 80.04 RCW to read as follows:

    A public utility regulated under this chapter that provides an advertising service shall not discriminate against a person or organization that seeks to use the advertising service based on the philosophical content or the religious content of the material contained in the advertising.
