HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 93-4617, by Representatives Peery, Ballard, Basich, G. Cole, Fuhrman, Jones, Kremen, Ludwig, R. Meyers, Miller, Riley, Roland, Scott, Sommers, Tate, Vance and Wood
WHEREAS, Timothy Peter Burke, hereinafter referred to as Tim, began his staff service with the legislature in 1968 as an attorney with the then existing Legislative Council; and
WHEREAS, Tim continued his legislative career with the House of Representatives when the Legislative Council was dissolved in 1973; and
WHEREAS, Tim is now concluding a simultaneous twenty-two years of association with the Board of Legislative Ethics as its legal counsel; and
WHEREAS, Tim is leaving this position but not, and would not be permitted also to leave, his responsibilities as Assistant Director of the Office of Program Research, pitching coach for junior Office of Program Research attorneys, and principal House archivist of legislative memory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Rules Committee that it take this occasion on behalf of the entire House of Representatives to recognize Tim's long and helpful role in accomplishing the vital objectives of the House Ethics Board; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to Timothy Peter Burke so that he may know of the great gratitude of the House of Representatives for his significant contribution toward maintaining high ethical standards of conduct by legislators and staff in the operations of the House of Representatives.
