Allowing building owners to prohibit smoking in private enclosed work places within public places.

          AN ACT Relating to regulating smoking in private enclosed workplaces within public places; and amending RCW 70.160.060.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

        Sec. 1.  RCW 70.160.060 and 1986 c 266 s 121 are each amended to read as follows:

          This chapter is not intended to regulate smoking in a private enclosed workplace, within a public place, even though such workplace may be visited by nonsmokers, excepting places in which smoking is prohibited by the director of community development, through the director of fire protection, ((or)) by other law, ordinance, or regulation, or by the owner of the building.
