HB 1018-S.E - DIGEST

     Provides that primaries for the office of county sheriff shall be nonpartisan except in a county which declares the position to be a partisan office by the county's home rule charter.

     Provides that a vacancy in the office of sheriff shall be filled by appointment of the board of county commissioners.

     Takes effect July 1, 1994.
