HB 2129 - DIGEST

(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Authorizes an agency to purchase material, supplies, services, and equipment for which the agency has notified the purchasing and material control director that it is more cost-effective to make the purchase directly from the vendor.

     Provides for the development of a standard notification form for state agencies to report cost-effective direct purchases.

     Requires a report to the legislature on the volume and types of purchases made and the aggregate savings from the authorized purchase.
