SB 5255 - DIGEST

     Directs the department of natural resources and the state parks and recreation commission to jointly evaluate the land for its suitability for park purposes.

     Requires the land determined to be suitable to be offered for transfer to the commission or to a local jurisdiction providing park facilities in the area.

     Provides that the payment for the land shall not exceed the costs incurred by the department in managing the land.
