     On page 1, line 14, after "after" strike "((being assured)) determining that" and insert "being assured"

     On page 2, at the beginning of line 33, strike "C" and insert "E"

EFFECT:  (1) Deletes new language regarding issuance of minor work permits and returns to current law which requires the Department of Labor and Industries to "be assured" that the proposed employment meets standards, rather than "determining that" the proposed employment meets standards.

     (2)  Corrects a reference to federal regulations governing hazardous employments for minors.
