     On page 40, line 7, strike "531,931,000" and insert "535,033,000"

     On page 40, beginning on line 23, strike subsection (6)(c).

     Reletter succeeding parts of subsection (6) accordingly.

EFFECT:  Restores funding in the Department of Correction's prison budget related to decreases in classification and counseling staff, the elimination of the mental health pilot project on McNeil Island, and decreases in funding of mental health services.  Deletes provisos prohibiting the department from operating the mental health pilot project after June 30, 1996.  Increases the general fund-state appropriation by $3,102,000.
