     On page 3, on line 2, after "age" insert "who is over the age at which persons are presumed incapable of committing a crime under RCW 9A.04.050, or"

EFFECT:  Defines "emancipated minor" to include any minor over the age at which persons are presumed incapable of committing a crime.  Under current law this age is 11, and the amendment would mean that it is not necessary to notify the parents of a pregnant minor who is 12 or older.  Under pending legislation, the age of presumptive incapacity would be lowered to 9.
