     On page 3, after line 9, insert the following:

     "(b)  Investigate allegations or instances of malicious harassment, assault, battery, abuse, or other crimes against child protective services case workers;

     (c)  Investigate and make recommendations to the legislature to improve the safety and effectiveness of child protective services case workers as they perform their responsibilities;"

Reletter the remaining subsections accordingly.

EFFECT:  The duties and responsibilities of the Inspector General are expanded to include investigation of allegations or instances of crimes committed against child protective services case workers, and recommendations to the legislature on improvements in working conditions for child protective services case workers.
