     On page 1, beginning on line 11, after "poison" strike all matter through "70.24 RCW," on line 12

     On page 1, line 14, after "bodily harm" insert "; or

(d) With knowledge that he or she has tested positive for the human immunodeficiency virus as defined in chapter 70.24 RCW, exposes or transmits to another person the human immunodeficiency virus"

     On page 1, beginning on line 15, after "(2)" strike all matter through "(3)" on page 2, line 1

     On page 3, line 2, strike "administration, exposure," and insert "exposure"

     On page 3, line 3, strike "(1)(b) or (2)" and insert "(1)(d)"

EFFECT:  Deletes the first degree assault crime of administering HIV.  Changes the elements of the crime of first degree assault by exposure or transmission of HIV by requiring  a showing of intent to inflict great bodily harm, rather than recklessness.
