     On page 20, after line 40, insert the following:

     "NEW SECTION.  Sec. 35. A new section is added to 1995 2nd sp.s. c 16 to read as follows:

FOR THE STATE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION

     Feasibility Study (97-2-001)

     For a study on the feasibility of purchasing property in the city of Burien for park purposes. The study shall consider transferring ownership of the lands to the city of Burien for preservation as open space and wildlife habitat, and for recreational and educational purposes. The commission shall report the legislature on the results of the study by December 1, 1996.

          Appropriation:

              St Bldg Constr Account--State...$     25,000

              Prior Biennia (Expenditures) ...$         0

              Future Biennia (Projected Costs)$     25,000

                                                     -------

                   Total .....................$      25,000"

     Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly

EFFECT:  Appropriates $25,000 to the State Parks and Recreation Commission for a feasibility study on purchasing  property in Burien for a park. Requires a report to the Legislature on the study by December 1, 1996.
