     On page 12, line 13 of the amendment, after "or others." insert "If necessary to ensure public safety, the court may also require the person to undergo drug therapy involving Depo-privera or similar medication during the period of conditional release."

     On page 13, line 33 of the amendment, after "this chapter." insert "If the court finds the person violated a requirement to undergo drug therapy, the court shall revoke the conditional release and return the person to total confinement."

EFFECT:  The judge who is setting the conditions for a conditional release may include a requirement, if necessary to ensure public safety, that the person undergo drug therapy during the period of conditional release.  If the court finds after a hearing that the person violated this required drug therapy, the court must revoke the conditional release and return the person to total confinement.
