     On page 5, after line 31, insert the following:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 7.  The public facilities district shall, in awarding contracts for the construction of a baseball stadium with a retractable roof or canopy and natural turf, give preference to contractors that are located within the boundaries of the state of Washington and were registered under chapter 18.27 RCW on or before January 1, 1995."

     On page 13, line 11, strike "and 6" and insert "through 7"

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:  Requires the public facilities district to give preference to Washington firms in the award of baseball stadium construction contracts.
