     On page 2, beginning on line 32, after "nontransferable." strike all material through "life." on line 38 and insert "The department may deny application for an administrator's certificate for up to two years if the applicant's previous administrator's certificate has been revoked for a serious violation and all appeals concerning the revocation have been exhausted.  For purposes of this section only, a serious violation is a violation that presents imminent danger to the public."

     On page 3, beginning on line 8, after "limit" strike all material through "chapter" on line 9

EFFECT:  (1) The amendment limits the Department of Labor and Industries' authority by adding that when the denial concerns an application for an administrator's certificate from a person with a previous revocation for a serious violation, the denial period is a maximum of two years.  (2)  The amendment eliminates the restriction against taking the administrator's examination by persons whose certificates were previously revoked for a serious violation.
